How it works

REGISTRATION

Registration is free of charge. In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required and will become rental credit to use later on.

RENTAL

Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.

PAUSE RIDE

Pause your ride without ending the rental. Simply pause your ride in the app and close the lock. The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.

RETURN

Return your bike at official stations at no extra costs. For €1 extra you can return your bike within the yellow zone. Press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike. If you return your bike away from the zones or stations, a service fee of at least 20 € will be charged.

Our tariffs

You can rent up to four bikes with one customer account. However, subscriptions and special conditions typically apply to the first bike only. The monthly subscription is valid throughout Germany (except for Oldenburg, Bremen, Mainz, Konstanz, Usedom and Nuremberg). You can change the tariff in your app Wallet.

Standard

for casual users

Basic tariff

1,50 €/15 min

The second 15 minutes cost 1.20 €, and each additional 15 minutes cost 1 €. You pay a maximum of 15 € per 24 hours per rental.

You will be charged the basic tariff unless you have booked a different subscription.

For frequent users

Monthly subscription

10 €/month

The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 1 € (max. 15 €/24 h).

For true enthusiasts

Annual subscription

60 €/year

The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 1 € (max. 15 €/24 h).
