Information about the service fees at nextbike
Incurring fee in the amount of 20 €
You have returned the bike improperly outside the flex zone of Bonn or you have returned your e-cargobike away from an e-cargo statione-cargo stations: Beuel Bahnhof, Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, Stiftsplatz, Frankenbad, Kaiserstraße, An der Elisabethkirche, Wilhelm-Levison-Straße. A fee of 20 € per rental is due for this. At the first improper return outside the Flexzone we do not charge this yet. In case of repetition, the fee will be charged automatically.
You can still avoid the fee: Go back to the bike and rent it again. Do not do this remotely, as the lock will open automatically. The new loan will be merged with the old one and the improper return fee will be erased if you now return the bike properly. Learn more about merging loans.

Which return options are there in Bonn?
Bikes may not be parked away from official stations outside the flexzone in Bonn. A fee of at least 20 € will automatically be charged for improper returns.
Standard bikes:
At stations
You can return our bikes in Bonn at no extra charge at any official station inside and outside the Flexzone. The stations are partly virtual, i.e. the locations are marked on the map with large markers, but there are no station signs on site everywhere. The small markers represent individual bikes. Please make sure to park your bike so that it does not obstruct anyone.
In non-coloured zones
You can return our bikes in Bonn at no extra charge within the non-coloured zone. Please make sure that you park your bike in such a way that it does not obstruct anyone.
e-Cargobikes:
At e-cargobike stations
You can return e-cargobikes to one of the e-cargo stationse-cargo stations: Beuel Bahnhof, Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, Stiftsplatz, Frankenbad, Kaiserstraße, An der Elisabethkirche, Wilhelm-Levison-Straße only.
Unjust fees? What now?
Due to slight GPS deviations, you may be charged a fee for inproper return even though you returned your bike at a station. No problem. Contact our hotline at +49 (0) 30 69205046 or send us a message via app with your registered mobile phone number, respective bike number and a short description of the problem. We will correct the rental.
Merge of rentals
Successive rentals of the same bike are merged if this is the cheaper option for the user. This means that the final rental period is calculated from the start time of the first rental and the return time of the second rental. The break between the two rentals is then also added to the rental time.
If a fusion of both rentals would be the more expensive option, both rentals will stay separate. You can see the final charges for your rentals in your rental history in your app or in your customer account via the website login.
