REGISTRATION
Registration is free of charge. In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required and will become rental credit to use later on.
RENTAL
Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.
PAUSE RIDE
Pause your ride without ending the rental. Simply pause your ride in the app and close the lock. The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.
RETURN
Please return your bike at a Bergisches E-Bike station or a virtual station and push the lever on the frame lock down. Slide e-bikes directly into a charging dock, while smartbikes should be parked alongside to keep the charging spots free for e-bikes. Please note that a €20 service fee will apply for returns outside official stations.
Our tariffs
Up to four bikes can be rented at the same time on one account. The monthly subscriptions and special conditions usually only apply to the first bike.
VRS-Chipcard owners enjoy concessions with Bergisches e-Bike, KVB-Rad Cologne, wupsiRad Leverkusen and welo (except for. SchülerTickets). The accounts can be linked by choosing VRS as a partner in your customer account. For verification, provide your VRS chipcard customer number without special characters (add a 0 at the beginning if your number has 12 digits).
Basic tariff
2,50 € /30 min
If you have not booked another tariff, you will be charged at the basic rate. The maximum daily charge is 18 €/24 h.
Night advantage:
On weekdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM you pay a maximum of € 6 per rental.
Monthly subscription
18 € /month
The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 2.50 €.
The maximum daily charge is 18 €/24 h per rental.
VRS tariff
0 € /30 min
The first 30 minutes of each rental are included.
Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 2.50 €.
The maximum daily charge is 15 €/24 h per rental.
Night advantage:
On weekdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM you pay a maximum of €4.50 per rental.
