Once registered it is possible to use all nextbike-affiliated bike sharing systems worldwide.

Receive the four-digit lock code.
Enter the lock code into the BikeComputer or open combination lock.
Enter your phone number and PIN into BikeComputer.
Hold your customer card up to the BikeComputer.
The lock on the front hub will open and you will receive the lock code to park the bike via text message.

Enter your customer information and bike number into the terminal or hold your customer card up to the terminal and enter the bike number.
The lock code will then be displayed onscreen as well as shared with you via text message.

IN GENERAL: Enter the bike number - receive the four-digit lock code - open the lock.
Some bikes have BikeComputers which allow you to directly enter the code on the bike.
It is also possible to use your customer card to rent a bike directly at our stations with terminals.
You can order your customer card during the registration process, or even afterwards via E-Mail notification.
You can use a single account to rent up to four bikes at once.
Push your bike into the docking station.
When locking up at a manual dock, make sure thet the cable-lock on the front hub is in place. Our smartbike docks will lock into place automatically.
Make sure to confirm your return via app, hotline or BikeComputer/terminal when returning your bike to an analogue dock.
Return the bike to an official station and close the lock.
Return the bike over the app.
Bikes equipped with BikeComputer are returned using the BikeComputer. Press OK and close the fork lock. Wait for a confirmation.
Return the bike at any main street or junction and close the lock.
Confirm the return, along with the bike's new standing location. Either through the BikeComputer or the app.
IN GENERAL: Close the bike lock - select the appropriate station via the app, BikeComputer, terminal or hotline - confirm your return.
Bikes can only be returned at official stations.
Before being able to take off on your first ride, you will first have to activate your customer account by verifying your means of payment (Credit Card or debit).
Upon confirming your payment method, you will be charged 1€.
This 1€ will be credited to you as a starting credit and can be used with all tariffs.
After debit via Credit Card your customer account will be activated immediately. Debitting via credit transfer may take up to four days.
You can change your means of payment at any time.
