Your artwork on two wheels – now on Leipzig’s streets!
For European Mobility Week, the Leipzig ring road was closed to car traffic on September 22. Instead, there was plenty of room for cyclists and pedestrians, and for your creative ideas!
With your support, we brought this year’s motto “Shared Public Space” to life at our campaign stand. You let off steam with spray paints and stencils and redesigned 15 of our nextbikes! You had professional support from graffiti artist and workshop leader Sebastian Magnus. The bike frames were in our workshop in the meantime and were assembled into whole bikes again.

Now it’s time to keep your eyes open: your colorful nextbikes are now on the streets of Leipzig, bringing color into the gray season!
What’s more, they are very special statement pieces for sustainable mobility. Because cycling is not only environmentally friendly and space-saving, it is also fun – and these bikes are sure to put a smile on your face – whether you are cycling or just passing by.
A big thank you goes to all the artists, big and small, who made this project possible and transformed the bikes into real eye-catchers. Colorful and eye-catching – for sustainable mobility in Leipzig and throughout Europe!
